Third Party Inspection, Vendor Assessment and Expediting

Vendor inspection is one of the most essential parts of alarge and complicated industrial projects. Vendor inspections can be divided into three main categories:

• Supplier evaluation: Supplier evaluation services contain assessment of manufacturers and vendors against selected industry norms and standards. According to the results of the assessments, qualification and rating are being done while the capability and capacity of the vendors are taken into consideration.
• Third party inspection: Includes several services like verifying quality of materials, parts and final products, Review of suppliers’ QA/QC procedures, checking the correctness and sufficiency of the technical documentation including but not limited to drawings, technical specifications and design codes, certificates, quantities, packaging and marking.
• Progress monitoring / expediting: Expediting is another essential part of industrial projects due to the criticality of timeliness of deliveries to the worksite. Expediting services can help the Project owners and managers evaluate suppliers’ capabilities to fulfil contract obligations, investigate the supplier’s scheduling proposal and detect and analyse critical areas in scheduled planning.
