According to API 650 standard; manufacturing and installation inspections of atmospheric storage tanks should be managed with API authorized inspectors. Services are provided in three stages and an API 650 certificate will be issued after a proper and successful process:
- Design review: Technical spesifications, drawings and calculations (wind load, snow load, earthquake etc.) are checked and “Design Examination Report“ will be issued.
- Manufacturing control: According to related quality and inspection test plans, controls like welding or NDT are done at vendor / manufacturer premises and “Inspection report“ will be issued.
- Installation Supervision: Erection and installation controls will be done at the final tank location and “Inspection Report“ will be issued.
According to API 653 standard; periodical inspections of atmospheric storage tanks should be managed with API authorized inspectors. Control and review activities are reported as per API 653 Annex C requirements.
