Solar energy investments including Photovoltaic PV plants inspections rely on extensive experience, complaince with standards and contracts, review the whole plant design to ensure functionality and mitigate the risks. PV plant inspections can be grouped into 5 separate categories:

• Planning phase: This phase generally includes on-site inspections before the investment start-up, shading analysis, energy yield prediction and assessment, IRR analysis, losses analysis and feasibility report assessments.
• Design phase: Design review, PV module inspection at the manufacturer and at-site, PV module certification through accredited laboratories, preshipment inspection and loading supervision for PV modules, supplier evaluations, environmental surveys, review of compliance with standards and EPC evaluations.
• Construction phase: Quality assurance audits and quality control inspections during construction and erection play key role to the quality and safety of the PV projects. Production surveillance, conformity checks, failure detection at the early stages of the construction, attendance to the factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site tests of the critical components like inverter, transformer etc.
• Operation and Maintenance: Device failure detection and analysis, DC degradation test, on-site inverter evaluation, infra red camera inspection, EL camera inspection and operation and maintenance evaluation process.
• Monitoring: For the lenders and financers of the PV plant projects, Technical Due Diligence and Project Monitoring services play key role to assess the feasibility of the project. During the initial report preparation period, energy yield assessment shall be done by the energy experts. Periodic monitoring reports and final closure reporting are also performed by the PV experts.
